Hella Yes!
Yesterday, I received a shiny new set of Hella Supertones as a gift. It was a “Get Well Soon” gift I suppose from my boyfriend, MadMX-5.
He decided he was going to surprise me by painting them pink and installing them, but I fear my impatience has rubbed off on him. He couldn’t wait and ended up giving me them still in the package with a can of Berry Pink from Rust-Oleum. What an awesome color! It shows right through the grill and is bright enough to see, yet not an overwhelming pink.

[Disclaimer: Those are not my hairy arms.]

I’m also installing the polyurethane splitter. All I need to do now Is install the OEM stickers on the fog light covers and she’ll be almost perfect.

Update!
It’s been a while since I’ve posted in this blog. I’ve been caught in the Life hurricane and haven’t had time to post anything on here. Let me catch you up with everything that has happened since my last post.
Last time I posted I had just got my polyurethane bushings and let me tell you, I hate them. I also love them as well. Not the best choice to put into a car that isn’t made for a track-only car, you see. You feel everything the road has to offer and sometimes that’s not such a great feeling.
After that I didn’t install anything new except for a new set of Dunlops. I just want to say that I love my Starspecs. Nothing compares to them for Autocross/Street use.
Recently, I got into a car wreck with her. I was a sad moment in car ownership with my STi. Sent her off to get fixed and repainted and now she’s better than before. I got new lights installed, a new bumper and new paint on the front half.
My most recent purchase was a new poly-splitter for her. I’ll only be auto-crossing her for the remained of the year. Starting January I’ll be sending her for some heavy duty work. Hopefully I’ll be doing most of that work personally.

Bushings Getting Replaced
So I felt my car shake and make a weird noise when driving up a small, like really small, hill. Decided to take it to my mechanic and have him check it out. Seems like I broke a bushing in the front right control arm when I hit the curb a few months ago. Decided I’m going to change them all at once. Might as well you know. Pic will follow of the damage done next week seeing as that’s when my mechanic has time for me. I fell like my car should just get a new everything done. It sucks. This car has so many issues.
This is what Im replacing the Bushings with: Energy Suspension Master Bushing Set
Although many people have recommended Kartboy.
Well see.

What Ive done so far.
Well, good thing I started this blog now. Ive had the subie since May of 2009. Shes got around 40k miles on her, so its not bad. My plans are to make her into a fast-cone-dodging-hell-on-wheels car for the time being. There are so many things I want to do but I know I can only take one road at a time. Lets hope its a fast road!
So far I have:
- HK Exhaust
- Invidia catless downpipe
- Greddy BOV (I’m going to replace it, no worries.)
- Dunlop Direzza StarSpec Tires
- ACT Spec Stage 1 Clutch
I’m going to put new engine mounts next month and new carpeting. The carpet that’s in the car now its so horrible. Its just worn out and ready for a new one. I’m also planning on getting new front seats and some racing seat belts as well. I’m also getting myself a new bumper for my birthday and a nice little radio with some light speakers. The car is just not in pristine condition and hopefully I’ll get it there soon.
